Where is my data stored?
On your device. Budgy is local-first: your accounts, transactions, goals, and receipts live in a database on your phone, and Budgy has no cloud copy of them. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I export my data?
Open the More tab and use Export to generate a CSV or PDF for any month, then save or send it anywhere via your device’s share sheet.
I’m moving to a new phone — how do I take my data with me?
Budgy doesn’t have cloud sync, so before switching devices, export your months as CSV/PDF from the More tab — that’s the guaranteed way to keep a record of your history.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
The trial starts in the app and unlocks all Budgy Plus features for 7 days — no purchase or card required, and nothing is charged when it ends; the app simply returns to the free tier. Note that the trial is separate from store billing: if you buy a subscription or the lifetime unlock at any point, you’re charged immediately at full price.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and cancelled through your app store, not through Budgy: open your App Store or Google Play subscription settings and cancel there, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You keep Plus access until the end of the paid period. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase — there’s nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies.
I resubscribed or reinstalled — how do I restore my purchase?
Make sure you’re signed in to the same App Store / Google Play account you purchased with, then use Restore Purchases in the app’s settings.
How do I delete my data?
Everything on your device is under your control: delete individual entries, use Fresh Start in the app to reset your budget, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. If you’ve posted on the feedback board and want that content or your anonymous account removed, email support@usebudgy.com.
